Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College has organized Inauguration for 1st batch B.Sc. Nursing students on September 24th, 2007 Our Chairman Shri N. Kesavan, Vice-Chairman Shri S.V. Sugumaran, Managing Director Shri M. Dhanasekaran, Principal Dr. R. Rajagovindan, Medical College Dean (Academic) Shri A. Shaw Nawaz Khan,Medical Superintendent Dr.Amaranathan, Nursing Superintendent and all other Staff Members solicited their presence and made the programme grand success. In that the dignitaries gave their valuable speech to the Students. History of the College, motto & facilities, Rules & Regulations were given by the Principal of SMVNC.
The National Integration day has celebrated on November 21st, 2007. We have arranged the intra college competition for our students. Our students spoken about the “National Integration”, and also they have performed based on the theme of National Integration which was appreciated by every one.
Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College has celebrated Republic day on January 26th, 2008. Our students were given speech on importance of celebrating Republic day. In that, they have enlighten the importance of celebrating Republic day and explored the each individual contribution to the society.
Our Institution has celebrated “No Smoking Day” on March 13th, 2008. Our students have displayed many numbers of charts and Models under the valuable guidance of Principal & faculties related to the concept of ‘No Smoking’ such as Causes, effects, complications, environmental pollution, life expectancy of smokers, benefits of ‘No Smoking’. The students were explained the Charts, Models to the patients and they have received good feed back from the patients & public.
The World Health Organization Day has celebrated on April 7th, 2008, our students participated the Inter-College Competition regarding WHO theme i.e., “protecting Health from Climatic Change” in Mother Therasa Institute at Puducherry and earned participation certificates.
Our students were attended the workshop on safe motherhood at Mother Therasa Institute of Puducherry on 12.04.2008. They have received more information from the resource persons which gave opportunity to maintain communication with the other college and provoke the creative ideas and promote the leadership quality among the students.
The first batch students (2007-2011) of ‘Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College’ secured more than 90 % of results and they have bagged more than 25 distinctions in the University Examination held during January 2008.
