Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College is a paramedical college that was started in 2007. It is approved by the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council, and is affiliated to Pondicherry University.
Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College is a top nursing college located in the coastal town of Puducherry. The college is affiliated to the Pondicherry University and offers a B.Sc Nursing course at the undergraduate level. The college provides quality education in the field of nursing and is considered to be one of the best nursing colleges in the state

The scope of nursing practice encompasses the provision of promotive, preventive, creative and rehabilitative aspects of care to people. Nursing practice is a direct service, goal oriented and adaptable to the needs of individual, family and the community during health and illness.

In color of SMVNC Logo, Red denotes Passion, Love, Power, Confidence, Desire and Blue represents meanings of Depth, Trust, Loyalty, Sincerity, Wisdom, Confidence, Stability, Faith, and Intelligence. Both the colors make “people to feel safe and secured”. The linked hands denotes” that every individual is drawn to nursing because of a desire to care, to serve, or to help.
The Green color Globe symbolizes the importance and wellness of mankind at global perspective through nursing education. A global health perspective empowers nurses to have advanced knowledge and education, intern to improve the health care delivery system and shape policy on both National and International fronts. Nurses are at the forefront of global health care. They provide individualized patient care, and also they educate, innovate and advocate the health and well-being of whole communities. The significance of Nursing Education is to sensitize the nursing students on global health concerns such as Pandemics. By thinking globally, nurses have the power to move mountains.
