“SPORTS DAY – 2K23” has been conducted in Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College for the students. All the students of SMVNC have been divided into Red, Blue, Yellow and Green Teams. The annual sports meet was held for 3 days from 04.04.2023 to 06.04.02023 under the guidance of Prof. G. Muthamilselvi, Principal, DR. S. Narmatha, Vice-Principal, and Mr. Prabakaran, Assistant Professor, Sports in-charge of SMVNC. The occasion was started with various indoor and outdoor events.

The Indoor games were conducted in the campus of SMVNC and the outdoor games were held in MIT ground and Hostel ground. The sports fest was inaugurated by Prof. G. Muthamilselvi, Principal, DR. S. Narmatha, Vice-Principal, SMVNC and HOD’s of various Nursing departments of SMVNC with the invocation song. Welcome address was given by the M.Sc. (N) student.

On the first day, various indoor events like carom, chess for both boys and girls have been conducted in the campus of SMVNC. On the second day, various outdoor events and track events like men and women cricket, football, volleyball, throw ball, long jump and short put have been conducted. On the final day, the March fast parade by the individual teams has been started by igniting the Olympic torch and foot loosen the pigeon by Prof. G. Muthamilselvi, Principal at the MIT ground. Followed by the march fast, final match for various events and track events were conducted. At the end of the event, valedictory ceremony was held.

The winners of all the individual and team events have been honored with prizes and certificates by the Principal, Vice-Principal, HOD’s, and all the faculties. The M.Sc. (N) student delivered the Vote of thanks. The event was culminated around 5.00 pm with the National Anthem.
