About Us

Aim

The Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College Alumni Association aims to bring together past and current students to strengthen professional relationships, support personal and career growth, and contribute to the continued success of our college.

Objectives

To foster strong, ongoing relationships between alumni and the college community.
To engage alumni in supporting the mission and vision of the institution.
To encourage participation in college events, mentorship programs, knowledge-sharing sessions, and institutional development activities.
To provide networking opportunities and platforms for professional growth and collaboration.
To recognize and celebrate the contributions and achievements of alumni, thereby enhancing the reputation of the college.
To facilitate fundraising efforts and resource mobilization for the development of infrastructure, scholarships, and student support initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities of Executive Committee Members

President:

The President is the highest officer & coordinator of all its activities. His/her leadership & guidance should serve as an inspiration to all members in achieving the objectives of the chapter.

To oversee all operations of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College Alumni Association
To prepare agenda for every meet.
To call officer meetings as necessary
Submit annual report of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College Alumni activities to Ex-Officio Chairman.
To motivate the present and past students to be a part of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College Alumni Association.

Vice President:

To oversee all operations of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College Alumni Association on any legal Affair involving conflict in or changes to the Sri Manakula Vinayagar Nursing College Alumni Association.
To perform presidential duties in the absence to the president.
To assist the President with his/her duties whenever possible
To oversee the recruitment and membership selection process of New Members.
To continuously develop and implement new ideas to improve the association and to promote unity and active involvement in the organization.

General Secretary

Keep the records of the association activities.
Record minutes of all association and executive committee meetings.
Submit to the alumni association a report of each chapter meeting, Executive committee meeting regularly.
Responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the Alumni Association.

Joint Secretary

Treasurer

Manages collection of membership fees and all other income of the Association.
Take charge of all funds of the association and deposit the same funds to the credit of the alumni association in a bank selected by the association.
Maintain a book of accounts on all funds received and disbursed during his term of office and prepare annual financial report for the period April 1st to 31st March of each year.
Pay all bills incurred by authority of the Alumni Association

Alumini Meet-2023

The Alumni Meet 2023 was held on 4 August 2023 at the SMVNC Auditorium. The SMVNC Alumni Association logo was proposed during the meeting. The office bearers of the Alumni Association were elected by the alumni students. A total of 186 alumni attended the meet.

ICU Current Scenario

The International Webinar on Advanced Technologies and Practices in ICU – Current Scenario on 17.04.2024 for B.Sc.(N) IV year. Hosted by SMVNC, 95 students was benefited by this programme.
