The SMVNC Library, it provides a conducive atmosphere for study. With a wide array of resources including books, journals, e-books, e-journals, magazines, and newspapers and student research theses with accompanying CDs. it caters to the academic needs of both students and faculty members. The Library is situated in the heart of the campus incorporating the modern technologies to provide the readers right information at the right time..

Working Hours:-
Operates from: 8.30am to 5.00pm on all working days.
Closed on: 1st & 3rd Saturday, Sundays and Govt. holidays.
Functions
- Support Teaching and learning, provide essential textbooks, reference materials, and research articles to support nursing curriculum and classroom instruction.
- Provide Access to Digital Resources, offer online databases, e-journals, e-books, and multimedia content for academic and clinical reference.
- To acquire, organize and update the library collection of learning resources to support teaching learning process
- Create a Conducive Learning Environment, maintain a quiet, resource-rich space for self-study, group discussions, academic exploration, comfortable seating arrangements and reliable internet connectivity.
- Assist in Academic Projects and Assignments, provide guidance and access to credible sources for writing assignments, case studies, dissertations, and research projects.
- To facilitate the optimal use of library resources by offering services such as orientation programs for new students.
Services
- Circulation Services: Issue and return of books, renewal, and reservation facilities.
- Reference Services: Assistance in locating subject-specific materials, clinical guidelines, drug references, and nursing protocols.
- E-Library & Digital Access: Access to online databases, e-journals, e-books, and academic portals related to nursing and healthcare.
- Wi-Fi and Internet Services: Free high-speed internet and Wi-Fi to support academic and research activities.
- Current Awareness Services (CAS): Updates on new arrivals, latest journals, Magazines and Daily Newspapers
- Reprographic Services: Photocopying, printing, and scanning facilities for academic materials.
- Thesis and Dissertation Access: Repository of previous students’ research work for reference.
- Career and Research Support: Access to materials on higher education, competitive exams, research methodology, and career development.
- User Assistance Services: Helpdesk for queries, technical support, and feedback collection.
- Library Orientation: Introductory sessions for new students to familiarize them with library resources, rules, and usage.
